IASB Recognizes 2 board members: Lynn Zeder and Susan Dalton

Two District 230 Board of Education members have been recognized by the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) through its Board Leader Recognition Program. The program recognizes school board members for their commitment to professional development, leadership and service to public education.

Dr. Lynn Zeder, Board President, was recognized as an Established Board Leader. The recognition reflects her continued professional development and leadership through IASB, including learning focused on educational issues, state policies and effective board governance.

Sue Dalton, Board Member, received Distinguished Annual Merit recognition. Building on her designation as a Distinguished Board Leader, Dalton earned the annual recognition through continued professional learning and participation in IASB division activities.

Both board members have continued their professional development through workshops, legislative assemblies, leadership conferences and other learning opportunities.

“Strong board leadership leads to better opportunities for our students and a stronger community overall,” Superintendent Dr. Robert Nolting said. “We congratulate Dr. Zeder and Ms. Dalton on these well-deserved honors.”
