The Consolidated High School District 230 Board of Education appointed Tim Danlow to serve the remainder of Nadine Scodro’s term, which runs through April 2027. Scodro announced her resignation last month.

A Carl Sandburg High School graduate and longtime Orland Park resident, Danlow brings more than two decades of business leadership as owner/president of a steel company. Well-versed in all aspects of his company, from accounting and budgeting to contract negotiation and from sales to communications, these skills will serve him well in his role as a Board member.

“I feel that my skill set and passion for the community as a lifelong resident and graduate will make me a successful addition to the District 230 School Board,” Danlow said.

Danlow previously ran for the Board in April and has remained engaged by attending meetings on a monthly basis and serving as a member of the District 230 Building and Finance Committee. He is also active in the community as a volunteer soccer coach with Orland Park Soccer Club and goaltending hockey coach with various nearby programs. 

“As a parent of three children in the district, a business owner, and alumnus, Tim undoubtedly brings valuable experience and a strong commitment to District 230. The School Board welcomes Tim and knows he will be an asset to our schools, students, and staff,” said School Board President Dr. Lynn Zeder.

According to Danlow, District 230’s dedicated and experienced teachers and staff, its reputation for being an elite school district, and its modern schools offering the latest technologies are District 230’s greatest strengths, adding, “I will remain engaged with the community and our Board, working as a team, free from politics to help maintain a strong and unified Board.” 

Danlow earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Illinois - Urbana/Champaign.
