Scodro

Nadine Scodro has announced her resignation from the Consolidated High School District 230 Board of Education, effective September 22, citing personal reasons.

Scodro, a graduate of Carl Sandburg High School, was appointed to the Board in January 2024 to fill a vacancy and was subsequently elected to a full term in the April 2025 local election. Over the course of her Board tenure, she held the role of Board Secretary and co-chair of the Education Committee and last year’s co-chair of the Student Support and Development Committee, contributing her time and expertise in support of the district’s mission.

Scodro said, “It has been an honor to serve alongside the board and contribute to the work of the district.”

School Board President Dr. Lynn Zeder said, “Ms. Scodro has spent her entire adult life advocating for students. I am grateful she was a part of our team and that we had opportunities to learn from her knowledge.”

“Ms. Scodro provided exceptional service, always putting students first,” said District 230 Superintendent Dr. Robert Nolting. “She brought a unique voice to the district based on a passion for students, particularly those who require additional supports. On behalf of the entire district, we wish her well.”

The process by which the school board will pick a replacement will be announced shortly. Please stay tuned to the website for details. Whoever is selected will serve until the next election in April 2029.
