Division Chair Fosco

The School Board approved the hiring of Dr. Lexi Fosco as the new Division Chair for Math & Business at Carl Sandburg High School. She begins her new role in August.

Dr. Fosco, a Carl Sandburg alumna, currently serves as Director of Data and Analytics at Hinsdale Township High School District, where she leads districtwide data strategy and builds data literacy to support instructional decision-making. She also analyzes student performance trends and embeds consistent data use in instructional planning. She brings a strong background in instructional leadership and assessment expertise that engages and supports all students.

Previous to her data and analytics role, Dr. Fosco was a mathematics teacher at Hinsdale South High School, teaching a full range of courses from Algebra 1 to Precalculus for six years.

Dr. Fosco says, "I am incredibly excited and deeply honored to be returning to Carl Sandburg High School as the Division Chair for Mathematics and Business. This opportunity is a perfect fit for me, and I'm beyond grateful to work alongside the educators who shaped my path and inspired my journey into education. I look forward to supporting the strong work already underway while learning, contributing, and growing alongside my fellow educators."

Carl Sandburg High School Principal Dr. Derrick Smith said, “Dr. Fosco’s leadership experience, strong data-informed decision-making, and commitment to students make her an excellent fit for this role. I am confident she will bring a balanced, student- and teacher-centered approach to the division chair position.”

Dr. Fosco holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Iowa, a master’s degree in Education Teacher Leadership from Elmhurst University, a second master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership also from the American College of Education.
