Consolidated High School District 230 is proud to announce that all three of its high schools - Carl Sandburg High School, Victor J. Andrew High School, and Amos Alonzo Stagg High School - have been recognized among the top high schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report in its 2026 Best High Schools rankings.

The annual national report evaluates nearly 18,000 public high schools nationwide across key performance indicators, including college readiness, Advanced Placement (AP) participation, state assessment performance, and graduation rates. All three District 230 schools demonstrated exceptional performance, landing in the top tier both statewide and nationally.

District 230 High School Rankings & Highlights:

• Carl Sandburg High School placed 75th in Illinois and #1,735 nationally with an overall performance score of 90.3/100. Sandburg stood out with a 95% graduation rate and a 53% AP participation rate.
   
• Victor J. Andrew High School ranks 106th in Illinois and #2,566 nationally with an overall score of 85.7/100. Andrew achieved a 96% graduation rate and strong science proficiency marks.
   
• Amos Alonzo Stagg High School placed 109th in Illinois and #2,631 nationally with an overall score of 85.3/100, highlighted by a 93% graduation rate and impressive student achievement metrics.
