25.26 grants

The District 230 Foundation has awarded $38,600 in grants to support innovative teaching and learning at Carl Sandburg, Amos Alonzo Stagg, and Victor J. Andrew High Schools — the largest single-year total in the Foundation’s 20-year history.

The grants, part of the Foundation’s teacher-driven competitive program, fund creative projects and programs that go beyond traditional classroom resources. The District 230 Foundation, a collaboration between community volunteers and school leaders, works to enhance educational opportunities for students across the district.

“We can’t fund every application we receive, but we are continually inspired by the creativity and dedication our educators put into their proposals,” said Stefo. “Their passion for student learning is boundless.”

The funded projects will be implemented during the 2025–26 school year and will be showcased throughout the year as they benefit Eagles, Chargers, and T-Bolts alike.
