111th and Roberts Roadwork Update: Here is the update as of August 1 from the construction company:

8/4: Expect delays, daily lane closures
8/5: Expect delays, daily lane closures
8/6: Daily lane closures
8/7: Expect delays, daily lane closures
8/8: Work requires lane closures for 48-36 hours

They will not be completed before school starts. With that being said, the only major item remaining after school starts will be paving surface. They plan to coordinate lane closures that will least affect drop-off and pick-up times. They anticipate this work to be completed in 2 days. We are hopeful that the work will be done when freshmen and transfer students arrive. 

Students Who Walk To School

• East and south crosswalks closed. 
• Students living east of Roberts Road and south of 111th will need to walk to Southwest Highway and cross to the north side of 111th, walk back to Roberts Road and cross on the northwest side of the intersection.
• Students living north of 111th will need to cross 111th on the west side of Roberts Road.
• Only cross at the crosswalk.

Student Drop Off

• Parents can still drop off students in the West and East Lots.
• Plan on leaving home much earlier than normal to arrive on campus on time.
• Cars driving on our campus in an unsafe manner will be reported to the Palos Hills Police Department. The parking lots have video surveillance. 
• Expect significant traffic backups on both 111th and Roberts Road.
• Expect significant delays exiting campus due to lane closures and new traffic configurations. These delays may be in excess of 30 minutes to depart campus.
• DO NOT DROP OFF ON ROBERTS ROAD AND 111TH. THIS PRACTICE IS DANGEROUS.
• Be patient and kind!  We are all in this together!

Student Pick Up

• Parents can still pick students up in the West and East Lots.
• Parents MUST follow traffic routes on campus.

ALL STUDENTS SHOULD REMEMBER TO CROSS AT CROSSWALKS. WALKING/RUNNING ACROSS 111th OR ROBERTS ROAD IS DANGEROUS.
