The Carl Sandburg High School Speech Team recently competed in two tournaments and earned several individual and team awards. This past weekend, the team competed at the Joliet West "Happiest Tournament on Earth" competition, earning 5th place overall with one dozen individual winners.

At the H-F Halloween Novice Classic, Sandburg novices performed well. In a field of 20 teams, Sandburg members placed in five categories.

Thanks to supporting performances by Lara Alkhatib and Monajah Ewuosho, the whole team placed top ten even though we were severely undermanned.
