Danielle Lusby has been named the new Head Dean of Students at Stagg High School at the School Board May meeting. She joins Stagg High School’s Administrative Team after a lengthy career at Homewood Flossmoor High School as both a Dean of Students and an English Teacher.
"Danielle comes to Stagg with a strong background in Restorative Justice practices and implementation, including the creation of her former district’s Peace Room for the purpose of de-escalation, reflection, mediation, and peace circle conferences," said Stagg Principal Eric Olsen. "Although she began her career in education as an English teacher, the bulk of her experience encompasses student discipline, staff development, and utilizing community partnerships as an intervention for students at risk."
Lusby holds a Bachelor's Degree in English and Creative Writing from Roosevelt University, a Master's Degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Chicago State University and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Concordia University. She is currently a doctoral candidate at Concordia University - Chicago in Educational Leadership and Administration.
