Hearing stories firsthand: Taking leadership meeting on the road
This week we tried something new by taking our district leadership meeting on the road. Andrew High School hosted as we held an abbreviated regular meeting and then split into three groups to explore different aspects of the school experience. This allowed district administrators and the principals from all three schools to get a firsthand look at classes and resources that we don't always have a chance to see. Thanks to Guidance Director Drew Eder, Division Chair Jame Holt and Special Education Director Cheryl Russell for being our tour guides and to all who welcomed us and shared their stories.
We visited special education, applied technology, physical education and family and consumer science classes, as well as The Center and the Intervention Room.
The district leadership team enjoyed the opportunity to see students and staff in action and are looking forward to taking our meetings to Sandburg and Stagg later this semester.
